Providing a creative outlet through dance – Brynn Chappell

Brynn-dance-photo-500x500

Children of all ages and abilities – and their siblings – enjoy an hour of dance with a qualified instructor who leads them through a choreographed routine and safe, customized exercises.

Brynn Chappell, 7, loves to dance and sees it as her passion. Despite having cerebral palsy which affects her ability to walk she is able to use a walker which assists her in performing the dance moves. According to her Mom Lore Chappell, “She always wanted to take a dance class and all of her friends were taking dance classes and we didn’t have a dance class so when this came we were very happy and she was super excited about it”.

Dance Without Limits in Surrey is centered around providing an opportunity for children and youth with various disabilities to interact with each other while dancing. Movement works various muscles groups through the different activities. The program is provided free of charge to the participants and is presented by the Cerebral Palsy Association of British Columbia. Children of all ages and abilities – and their siblings – enjoy an hour of dance with a qualified instructor who leads them through a choreographed routine and safe, customized exercises.

Brynn enjoys the games, the dancing and snacks and she is proud to participate in the program since it makes her happy. “I love dance and the people are so nice to me. I love to dance and I always practiced at home and I always wished that I could do a dance class.
