STEPtember 2016 kicks off

steptember-cpabc banner

STEPtember, the annual fundraiser in support of CP associations around the world, kicked off today with nearly 200 people in BC alone pledging to take 10,000 steps a day for the next 28 days.

Canadian Olympic medal winner Darcy Marquardt discusses Steptember.

Teams have signed up from companies like BFL Vancouver, Houle Electric, Pacific Medical Law, BDC, DP World, the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre, BC Children’s Hospital, BCITS, YWCA Vancouver and Access Community Therapists. Together with the teams formed by people living with CP and their families and the entire CPABC office, 58 teams have signed up so far for STEPtember 2016 in BC. There are already 300 teams signed up across Canada and nearly 20,000 teams worldwide!

Together these people have raised $6000 for the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC, $38,000 for CP associations across Canada and over $2 million around the world.

There’s still time to join the fun – register for STEPtember today.

We still have a long way to go to reach our fundraising goals though. So start stepping, logging steps and don’t forget to share your fundraising page with all of your friends, family and coworkers.
