Why We Run for #TeamCPABC – In Their Own Words

On Sunday June 25, 2017 our supporters will be walking, running and rolling the Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon and 5K to raise money for programs and services for children, youth and adults living with cerebral palsy.

Here we’re proud to profile a few of our 2017 participants. Check back as we add more profiles.

Hammo Mushtaqi

I was born with CP and since I came to Canada, I have been a member of CPABC.  I set, this year to, myself the 5K challenge to raise funding for this community, which has many difficulty to face along each day. ~Hammo

Jason Cole & Rand Surbey

We strive to get the attention they deserve for the work they do every day. And with the help of the very talented Tracy Cole of TLC Made This, I think getting attention should be a walk (or run) in the park!! ~Jason

Ian Bushfield

My younger brother Tyler has CP, so I ended up working with the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC when I moved to Vancouver. By doing the 5K I’m raising funds to support programs for people like Tyler. ~Ian

Team Dylan

To prepare for the race, I am running/walking around the local track and also on a local trail. So far I am up to 30 minutes non-stop walking and running. I get tired but I feel proud of myself when I finish my exercise/training. ~Dylan
